| 3rd Annual LCO Motorcycle Cancer Fundraiser |

On July 10, 2010 the roar of motorcycles will once again be heard at LCO for the 3rd Annual Cancer Fundraiser! During the past 2 fundraisers bikers have driven from as far away as Superior, Green Bay, Menomonee and other areas t o participate in this very worthwhile cause. The first year we were able to raise over $1,000 and last year doubled that amount. These funds have been used for financial assistance to Tribal members that are undergoing surgery, chemotherapy or radiation treatments and need help with food, lodging or fuel assistance.

Sadly, we have a fairly high incidence of cancer patients and some need to leave their jobs as they fight their battles with this dreadful disease. With that in mind the logo on our t-shirts reads “WE RIDE FOR THEM”. The T-shirts are on sale at $10.00 for short and $20.00 for long sleeved. Please call Forest at 634-8934 if you would like to contribute to our fundraiser and purchase a shirt!
The cost to participate in the ride is $15.00 per rider or guest rider. All registered paid bikers will receive a $5.00 match play coupon from the LCO Casino! This year the ride will once again start at the LCO Casino Bingo Hall area with parking blocked off for the bikes. Registration is from 8 – 9:00 a.m. and we will depart at 9:00 sharp to keep us on schedule. We will be driving approximately 200 miles with 4 scheduled stops at which time we will be holding 50/50 cash raffles. We will be stopping for lunch at the beautiful Lac du Flambeau Casino! They have agreed to have parking blocked off for the bikes and to assist us with traffic stops to make sure we get in and out of there safely. As we return to the LCO Casino around 4:30 all paid registered bikers will be provided with a pig roast at $5.00 per person. A huge raffle will take place at that time with donations received from enterprises thru-out the area. The famous “Great White Band” will be performing for an outdoor concert that night and the cost will be $12.00 for registered/paid bikers. Also, free “rough” camping will be available behind the LCO Casino for registered paid bikers.
